Troy-Webster Auxiliary
Fifteen members were present for the December 3 meeting with Betty Briggs, president, presiding.
Opening and closing prayers were offered by Chaplain Rosemarie Heilman.
Members recited the Pledge of Allegiance and Preamble and sang one stanza of the "Star Spangled
Banner" accompanied by Doris Plyant at the piano.
Ellen Bechstein read the minutes from the previous meeting. Approved as read.
Donna Rolf gave the treasurer’s report. Approved and placed on file for audit.
Rosemarie requested prayers and poems to be placed in the scrapbook.
Children and Youth Chairman Becky Dipman reminded members that on Dec. 9 they would be baking and
decorating christmas cookies. The National Honor Society will be helping with this project. Santa bags
will be filled December 13.
Santa arrives at the hall on December 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m..
Junior Auxiliary members provided 13 packages to be sent to service men and women. They also provided
food for the St. Al’s Food Pantry.
The Auxiliary is at 80 percent of meeting their goal. A list of members who have not paid their dues was
given and members are encouraged to contact these individuals.
Ruth Peters, Karen Snyder, Joel and Shirley Davis and Betty Briggs served coffee and baked goods this
past month at the VA Clinic.
The Past President’s luncheon is Wednesday, December 10 at noon at the French Quarter in Perrysburg. All
auxiliary members are invited.
Tickets are available for the Scholarshp Fund.
Correspondence was read from the Irma Meyer family and a Christmas Card from Eloise Brinker. Other
requests for donations were given to the appropriate chairmen.
The following thank yous were noted: To the members who donated items for the Luckey Food Pantry; to
Maxine Cross and helpers for decorating the hall for the Christmas Holiday; and to hostesses Betty
Walton and
Eloise Brinker for providing refreshments.
The meeting closed with the singing of Christmas Carols.
Next meeting January 7 at 9:30.
