Open house today for Alzheimer’s program

Bowling Green Care Center, a HCF care community, recently launched a new program called Behavior-Based
Ergonomics Therapy  in its dementia unit.
Developed by Dr. Govind Bharwani, co-director of ergonomics and Alzheimer’s care at Wright State
University, and Meena Bharwani, Consultant, DGM Partners, BBET is an individualized non-pharmacological
approach to Alzheimer’s and dementia care that utilizes music, video, stimulating therapy, and
individual activity to help prevent mental stress, agitation, and behavior problems.
A community open house will take place at Bowling Green Care Center, 850 W. Poe Road, today from 4 to 6
p.m.
Anyone who is interested in learning more and speaking with the staff and creator of BBET, Bharwani, is
encouraged to attend for a closer look into the specialized program.
