TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio Turnpike has announced the appointment of a governor’s administration
official as the agency’s new executive director.

Randy Cole, a former turnpike commission member and currently president of the state Controlling Board,
takes over the job Dec. 22.

The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission on Monday announced the selection of Cole, who has also
been policy advisor to state Budget Director Tim Keen.

As executive director Cole will manage the Turnpike’s day-to-day business operations.

Cole succeeds interim executive director Robin Carlin and former director Rick Hodges, who was tapped
earlier this year by Gov. John Kasich to lead the Ohio Department of Health.
