BOYNE CITY, Mich. (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration

taking off Monday morning from Boyne City Airport in Charlevoix County,
about 45 miles northeast of Traverse City.
The plane’s flight plan showed it was headed to Oakland-Troy Airport north of Detroit.
Authorities in Charlevoix County report two victims, including the pilot. Their names were not
immediately released.
WPBN/WTOM-TV
and the Petoskey News-Review report the crash happened about 7 a.m. and
several hundred yards from a road. It is reachable on foot or
snowmobile.
Undersheriff Chuck Vondra tells the newspaper the plane was broken into many pieces.
