A nearly $1 million renovation was recently completed for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites
located just east of Interstate 75 at 2150 E. Wooster St.
According to Ainsley Rutkowski, general manager, the entire facility has been updated and modernized
floor to ceiling on every floor.
"Everything in every room was updated and replaced to make it all modern and fresh," she said.

The facility was built and opened in 2004, so the renovations were part of the 10-year plan for updates.

Rutkowski said while there was much of the original facilities that could have been maintained, she said
the owners wanted to "go above and beyond" to make the hotel like new.
Carpeting, wall coverings, and all furnishings are new for the 73 guest rooms and suites, the indoor
pool, the fitness center, the meeting rooms as well as what they call the "great room" near
the entrance, all were done. Even all the halls and bathrooms were updated.
Rutkowski said the project began in January and was finished last month. They also upgraded their high
speed internet access. "It’s now faster and more efficient," she said.
The hotel remained open throughout the renovations as they worked on one half of one floor at a time.
"We’re very excited to be brand new," the general manager said. "The guests love it, we
are getting absolute raving reviews."
As one might expect, they cater to many travelers and visitors to Bowling Green, but Rutkowski says they
also regularly serve local people.
With the meeting rooms, they can handle up to 100 people when the room is set up theater style. She said
they also have hosted a small wedding reception, as well as various after hour parties, meetings and
socials for numerous businesses and organizations.
"We even have local residents who want to just spend the night away from home and stay in one of our
jacuzzi suites," she said. "They use the pool and patio and also we have a barbecue area on
the patio."
She said tours of the facility are available and the public is invited to come to see the "new"
facilities.
