Revelers celebrate while exiting the Maumee River Wednesday afternoon. A wind chill factor of three degrees above zero and having to break through ice failed to deter people from taking part in the 84th annual New Year’s Day Polar Plunge. The 2:30 plunge into the Maumee River in the shadow of the Waterville Bridge drew a large crowd of participants and spectators. (Photos: J.D. Pooley/Sentinel-Tribune) SEE MORE PHOTOS |
