Margaret A. Schnittker

Margaret A. Schnittker, 94, of Perrysburg, Ohio died Friday, February 21, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest
Ohio.
She was born November 13, 1919 in Montpelier, OH to Martin James and Gertrude (Hoover) Wisman.
Margaret worked in food service for the Perrysburg School District and retired after 26 years.
She was a faithful member of Zoar Lutheran Church, where she helped prepare food for the St. Paul
Lutheran Church Soup Kitchen and was part of the Quilting Piece Corps.
Margaret married the love of her life, the late Howard Schnittker on March 1, 1941 and raised their
family together.
She loved to bake and everyone looked forward to her Santa cookies every year. She also enjoyed reading,
sewing and embroidery. She won two Best in Shows for her needle work. She valued education and was very
proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her children, Mary O’Connor, William (Samantha) Schnittker, Carol (Philip
Anderson) Bridenbaugh, Richard (MaryLynn) Schnittker and Joseph Schnittker; 13 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Sostoi and Ione Boucher; brother, Elwyn Puffenburger.
Friends will be received in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 222 E.S. Boundary St., Perrysburg
(419-874-3133) from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 26 at 11 a.m. in Zoar Lutheran Church.
Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Cemetery.
