Margaret Maude (Carl) Trantham, 54, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014 in
Bowling Green, Ohio.
Born December 14, 1959 in Jamestown, NY, she was the daughter of Rev. Douglas L. and Nancy (Houser) Carl.

She graduated from Clearfield Area High School, Clearfield, PA in 1978. She went on to earn a Music
Education degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC in 1982, and a Master’s of Music Education
degree from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ in 1992. Her great love was teaching students to
read, sing and perform music.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Gene; sons, Daniel James and Evan Carl, of Bowling Green, OH; her
brother, Doug (and Lois) Carl of Reading, PA; nieces, Andri-Ellen Peters of Delta, PA, Audrey Colman of
Lynchburg, VA, Allyson Carl of Reading, PA, Nicole Jackson of North Little Rock, AR, and Lindsey Hooper
of North Little Rock, AR; nephew Jonathan Carl of Reading, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a member of Bowling Green Chapter AA of P.E.O, a philanthropic organization that provides
opportunity and financial support to help women pursue their educational goals. She was also a member of
Calvary Baptist Church in Findlay, Ohio.
The funeral service will be held at Dunn Funeral Home on Sunday, November 9, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Tim
England and Mr. Tim Hoag officiating assisted by Rev. Gordon Dickson.
Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green, OH on Saturday, November 8, 6 to 8 p.m.
and Sunday, November 9, at 2 p.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the PCE scholarship fund of Chapter AA of PEO in
Bowling Green or to the Toledo Symphony Youth Orchestra.
