June E. Siddall Brown, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Sylvania and Bowling Green, OH, passed away
peacefully in Hospice House, Vero Beach, on September 30, 2014.
Born June 7, 1920, to Charles and Marie Siddall, June was graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1938
and from the University of Toledo in 1942, where she had been a member of Pi Delta Chi (later Pi Phi)
Sorority.
June began her teaching career in Maumee City Schools where she taught until she married the love of her
life, Richard F. Brown. While he was in the Pacific Theatre with the U.S. Navy during WWII, she
continued teaching at Maumee Country Day School. After the War, they moved to Columbus where June taught
at Columbus School for Girls as Dick completed his degree in Architecture at OSU. He subsequently
established his practice in Toledo, and she taught in the Toledo Public Schools, at Hamilton and
Longfellow Elementaries. They moved to Bowling Green in 1960, where Dick became the University Architect
of BGSU until his death in 1976 and June taught third grade at Haskins Elementary until her retirement
in 1989.
June is survived by her loving daughters Chellie (Gary) Wagner of Vero Beach, FL and Pamela (Melih) Tan,
of Vero Beach FL. and Denver, CO, adoring grandchildren, Gina DeMario, Lynne (Lucas) Nagel, Erica Ashley
Wagner, Emily (Michael) Cruz, Erol (Danielle) Tan and four treasured great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Westgate Chapel, Wilford Road, Sylvania, OH on October 18 at 11 a.m.

In honor of her life-long commitment to Veterans and love and concern for mistreated animals, the family
requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made in her name to The Wounded Warrior Project or Save
the Chimps, Fort Pierce, FL.
