Herringshaw has proven record

To the Editor:
As a taxpayer and business owner, I want our elected officials to be accessible, honest, reliable,
experienced, knowledgeable, accountable and fiscally responsible. That is why I support Dr. Doris
Herringshaw for Wood County Commissioner.
Doris has served as Wood County Commissioner for the past two years. During that time Doris has worked
with the other commissioners to increase economic development which has resulted in one of the lowest
unemployment rates in Northwest Ohio. This includes projects that will generate more county jobs such as
CSX investing an additional $42 million for cranes and new tracks that is above and beyond their initial
$175 million for the original facility, FedEx’s expansion leading to 160 new jobs, Home Depot’s 1.6
million sq. foot distribution center in Troy Township, and Camper World opening in Rossford. Last year
we saw the opening of the Calphalon Distribution Center in Middleton Township and the Willmar
International headquarters in Henry Township. The Home Depot distribution facility in Troy Township will
bring in $625,000 to Eastwood Schools each year and the Penta Career Center will receive over $20,000.
There will also be 125 new jobs created.
This success is the result of working hard to maintain low tax rates, good infrastructure and a trained
workforce. Please join me in retaining Doris Herringshaw as Wood County Commissioner.
