The crash occurred at about
10 p.m. when Christian Berlin, 22, Oak Harbor, failed to yield at a stop sign while traveling east on
Roachton in a 2005 Chevy pickup truck. Berlin’s vehicle struck a 2004 Chevy driven by Alyssa Headley,
23, whose vehicle became overturned in a nearby field.
The patrol reported that neither vehicle had any passengers.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, but a patrol representative said Berlin was not wearing a seat
belt and was distracted while using a cell phone.
Berlin was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.
