Diocese announces services for former Auxiliary Bishop Donnelly

TOLEDO – Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus Robert W. Donnelly of Toledo died July 21 at the age of 83.
Donnelly was ordained May 25, 1957, and was appointed as Auxiliary Bishop of Toledo May 3, 1984. He
retired May 30, 2006.
The order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated on the following schedule:
The visitation and Vigil Service will be held Monday with visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service
at 7 p.m. The visitation and the service will both be held at Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood
Ave., Toledo.
On Tuesday will be additional visitation and his Funeral Mass.
Visitation will be from 10-11:45 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m.
The Funeral Mass will begin at noon. These will also be held at the cathedral.
He served as a diocesan administrator between Bishop James R. Hoffman’s death in February 2003 and Bishop
Leonard P. Blair’s appointment in December 2003.
