Food distribution in Bowling Green Friday
The monthly food distribution will be Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church,
1526 E. Wooster St.
Zoo and ice cream planned
A Toledo Zoo and Ice Cream Too event is planned for Sunday at First Christian Church, 875 Haskins Road.

At 2 p.m., the zoo will bring animals and artifacts.
From 3 to 5 p.m., there will be ice cream, games, face painting, balloons, musical entertainment and a
visit from Birdie the Clown.
The event is free and open to all ages.
Carpenter family reunion set for Sunday
The 107th Carpenter Family Reunion will be Sunday at Center Township Fire Hall, 9986 Bowling Green Road
East.
The event starts at 12:30 p.m. with the meal at 1.
Take a dish to share and table service, plus a white elephant gift for a gift exchange, and a favorite
recipe to share.
Also provide information on new births, deaths and marriages plus any entertainment, stories or photos to
share.

Haskins community ice cream social is Sunday
HASKINS – The annual community "Ice Cream Social" and combined worship service co-sponsored by
St. Paul Lutheran and Haskins Federated churches will be held Sunday at Lusher Park and at St. Paul’s,
one mile west of the village on Ohio 582.
The joint morning worship service will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Lusher Park. Those attending are reminded to
bring folding lawn chairs for the service.
The ice cream social will operate from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran.
Proceeds from the event will be donated for the medical expenses of 6-year-old McKenna May, of Haskins,
who is fighting leukemia.
The menu includes sloppy joes, hot dogs, coney dogs, chicken and noodles, chips, pie, cake, ice cream and
beverage.
Events also include a Classic Car show, a silent auction, kids games, face painting and music provided by
DJ Doug Michaelis.
