‘Life Chain’ on Sunday
Dayspring Church on North Dixie Highway, Bowling Green, will host a Foundation for Life "Life
Chain" at 2 p.m. Sunday. The program is part of Respect Life Sunday and will be held at the
church’s Prayer Center.
People from all denominations are welcome to attend and pray for the end of abortion. Several local
pastors will be participating.
The program will also include a roadside witness to remind people how precious life is to all.
Blessing of animals times two
• NORTH BALTIMORE – Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist will be sharing a Blessing of the
Animals on Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Briar Hill Health Campus, 600 Sterling Drive ,North
Baltimore.  The public is invited to bring their animals (both household pets and farm animals are
welcome) for a special blessing and treat. Pets and people may drive-thru or stay and visit. The
philosophy is "God loves all the creatures."  
This event is in remembrance of St. Francis who was a great lover of animals and nature.  There is no
formal service.
• LUCKEY – Zion Lutheran Church, 303 Park Drive, Luckey, will hold a "Blessing of the Animals"
service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the church parking lot.
The public is invited to bring their animals for a blessing and are asked to bring a chair along for the
outdoor service.
Gospel concert is Sunday
GRAND RAPIDS – New Life Community Wesleyan Church will be hosting Juanita Phillips for a gospel concert
Sunday, at 10:45 a.m.
Phillips is from Charleston, West Virginia. Her schedule and music can be found at

A freewill offering will be taken. The church is located at 17679 Woodburn Ave. at the corner of Second
Street in Grand Rapids.
Blanket Sunday features quilts
NEW ROCHESTER – The Cover Girls of St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Rochester will help celebrate Blanket
Sunday at the church as more than 300 quilts made by the group will be on display prior to being donated
to Lutheran World Relief. There will also be on display school bags and layettes that will also be
donated to the LWR.
Dinner concert planned at Truck Stop Ministries
NORTH BALTIMORE – Truck Stop Ministries, Inc., is planning a Dinner Concert on Oct. 12 featuring between
Here and Heaven. It will be held at the Iron Skillet Restaurant, located at the Petro Truck Stop, 12900
Deshler Road.
Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. The concert follows at 6 p.m.
Senior CSI event set
PERRYSBURG – CSI, Christian Seniors Interacting, invite all seniors in the area to attend its next
meeting to be held Oct. 14 at Abundant Life No. 2, 200 Zoar Drive, Perrysburg. The event is held twice
each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There is a $1charge for miscellaneous expenses.
The 11:30 a.m. Bible study will be led by Father Herb Weber of St. John XXIII Parish. Lunch is served at
noon, provided by ABC Health Care.
The program which follows will be "Weather" by Jay Berschback of WTVG-13, Toledo.

made by Thursday.
Baked steak supper
McCLURE – The McClure United Methodist Church will have a baked steak supper next Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
in the church fellowship hall. Carry-outs are available.
A free-will offering will be taken. The church is located on Ohio 65, just south of U.S. 6.
