The Ohio CPA Foundation has awarded $2,000 scholarships to Todd Fry.
Fry, of Perrysburg, attends the University of Toledo and will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accountancy in May 2015. From interning with
PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Fry has had a great deal of experience
with accounting and finance. He is a member of Alpha Kappa Psi and the Association of Systems
Management. Fry will sit for the CPA exam in the summer of 2015.
The following local residents recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the
nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Rebecca
Chalfin of Bradner (43406) initiated at The University of Findlay
Jacob McGowan, Risingsun, initiated at the University of Findlay
Andrew Whitis, Perrys-burg, initiated at the University of Findlay
Elizabeth Edens, Perrysburg, initiated at the University of Findlay
Miranda Rife, Fostoria, initiated at the University of Findlay
Alisha Goshe, Fostoria initiated, at the University of Findlay
Natasha Kirkbride of Pemberville is a member of the Ashland University Running Club. She is majoring in
dietetics.
The University of Findlay’s College of Business has installed its inaugural members of the Delta Mu
Delta, Nu Beta Chapter, honor society.
Delta Mu Delta is the exclusive business honor society recognized by the Accreditation Council for
Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) that recognizes and encourages academic excellence.
Local members installed included Nicholas Schumaker of Bloomdale and Debra Ward of Fostoria.
