PERRYSBURG – The Agape Handbell Choir of Zoar Lutheran Church, Perrysburg, and the Handbell Choir of
Ashland Church, Oregon, will combine to perform a benefit concert for FOCUS.
Founded in the traditions of faith and service, FOCUS (Family Outreach Community United Services) is a
community based agency called to embrace people in need, bring voice to the voiceless, and restore hope
and dignity to the forgotten. FOCUS fosters the skills that enable people to gain control of their lives
and their futures by providing the necessary steps to emerge from homelessness and poverty, and gain
economic and social stability. Both the Zoar and Ashland congregations have supported FOCUS for many
years, including a benefit handbell concert in 2011 held at the Oregon church.
The concert will be held at at 7:30 p,m. Feb. 15 at Zoar Lutheran, 314 E Indiana Ave., Perrysburg, with
homemade soups and speciality breads served 6-7:30 p.m. prior to the concert. Donations for the meal and
free-will offering during the program will benefit FOCUS.
Since the concert will be presented on Valentine’s weekend, the program "We LOVE To Tell The
Story" includes sacred music and hymns that reflect acts of love. A cookie reception will follow
the performance.
