Barbara H. Meronk (Spana), 77, of Bowling Green, Ohio, died Wednesday evening, February 26, 2014 at
Bridge Care Center surrounded by her loving family, Bowling Green, Ohio.
She was born June 3, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Edward and Marie (Augustowski) Spana. On
June 7, 1958 she married the love of her life, the late David B. Meronk.
Barbara, a retired receptionist and secretary, enjoyed donating her time to Saint Aloysius in various
capacities throughout the years. She loved to travel, bake, and routinely met with her antique club. Her
true joy was spending time and supporting her children and grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by two daughters, Salena (Richard) Meronk-Ornelas and Stephanie (Scott) Cavanaugh,
both of Bowling Green; son, David J. (Natalie) Meronk, Findlay, Ohio; sisters, Shirley Osterberg and
Gloria Graczyk, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 3rd at St. Aloysius Catholic
Church with Fr. Mark Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends and family may be received at the Dunn Funeral Home located in Bowling Green’s Historical
District at 408 W. Wooster St. on Sunday, March 2nd from 1 to 5 p.m., where a rosary service will be
held at 4:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
