DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — University of Dayton researchers are using a federal grant to develop a smartphone
app to make it easier for crime victims to access support services.

and other support organizations.

reports the project is being funded with a $238,000 Vision 21 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice.
Vision 21 is a federal initiative to reform crime victim services in America.
The app will initially be marketed toward victims of crime in the Dayton area, but officials hope to
extend the service to all of southwest Ohio and, eventually, to the nation.
