Alice (Goodman) Akers, 89, of Weston, OH, died July 1, 2014 at Wood Haven Health Care in Bowling Green,
OH.
She was born March 8, 1925 in Weston, OH to Ellsworth and Edna (Ellis) Christy.
Alice worked as a cook for Otsego Schools and also as a secretary at Weston Elementary for many years.

She was a member of Weston Assembly of God where she played piano for many years. She also enjoyed sewing
and crochet.
Alice is survived by her son, David (Betty) Goodman of Bowling Green, OH, stepdaughters, Tracy Akers of
Toledo, OH, Paula (William) Tillotson of Virginia Beach, VA, daughter-in-law, Peggy Goodman of TX,
grandchildren, Lissa Goodman, Marc Goodman, and Jesse (Lisa) Goodman, four stepgrandchildren, six
great-grandchildren, and sister, Donna Tampurages of Bowling Green, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Harry L. Goodman and Charles Akers, son, Danny
Goodman, sister, Dorothy Self and bother, Jim Christy.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at
Sonlight Church, 19920 Sand Ridge Rd. Weston, OH. Pastor Chris Boggs will officiate.
Interment will follow at Weston Cemetery.
The family suggests giving memorials to Wood Haven Health Care or Sonlight Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, Tontogany.
