Alcohol a factor in Lake Twp. crash

MILLBURY – Two people remained listed at a local hospital this morning following an early Saturday crash
on Walbridge Road east of Pemberville Road in Lake Township.
The crash remains under investigation, and authorities report alcohol is believed to be a factor.
The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that at approximately 2:59 a.m. a 2003
Toyota, driven by Allison Leatherman, Walbridge, was eastbound on Walbridge Road. The vehicle travelled
off of the right side of the road, came back onto the road, and then travelled off of the left side of
the road, striking a tree. The front seat passenger, Jaime Adams, Millbury, was ejected from the
vehicle.
The vehicle continued on before coming to rest against a parked car.
The backseat passenger, Andrew Heath, Millbury, was also injured in the crash. All three occupants were
transported to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.
Leatherman was listed in critical condition at the hospital, while Adams was listed in fair condition.
Heath was not listed as a patient there this morning.
The patrol was assisted on scene by Lake Township EMS and Police, Walbridge Police Department, and
Northwood EMS.
