BG’s Art Walk is Saturday

0

The 27th annual Art Walk is taking place throughout Downtown Bowling Green on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3
p.m. This free event welcomes everyone to come check out the work of local artists in their pop up shops
throughout different merchants in downtown.
Downtown Bowling Green and The Bowling Green Arts Council have partnered together to put on a fun-filled
day with many events. Over 30 local artists will have their favorite piece of work displayed at the Wood
County Public Library to be judged. More of their artwork will be displayed at local area merchants.
It is recommended the public visit the library to view a piece of each artist’s work prior to exploring
the downtown Art Walk scene. This allows the public to decide which mediums they like. They then can
look on the brochure to see where each artist’s artwork is displayed in downtown Bowling Green
All of the proceeds made from this event will be benefiting the Downtown Foundation Flower Fund. Downtown
Bowling Green is working to improve the beauty of historic downtown and every contribution is greatly
appreciated.
Along with the art, there will be live performances, a quilt exhibit at the Four Corners Building, and
many raffles.
Check the webpage at www.downtownbgohio.org/art-walk for times and locations of the performances. This
year, there will be a gnome raffle located in the library where the public may buy raffle tickets the
day of the event to vote for their favorite gnome and a chance to take one home. These have all been
decorated by people in our community. The best three by popular vote will win Downtown Dollars.
