BG FFA honors students at banquet

Bowling Green FFA Chapter held its annual banquet on April 6.
Both students and adults were recognized at the banquet.
Among the adults honored were those presented with Honorary Chapter Membership. Those were Stacie
Anderson, Tim and Andi Fintel, Redline Equipment, and Wood County Farm Bureau
Bowling Green Police Division Officer Robin Short was presented the annual Blue and Gold Award,
recognizing someone on staff at the school.
The top student awards were presented as follows:
Star Greenhand, awarded to the top first-year members, to Gretchen Germann and Arika Adams.
The Star Chapter Farmer honor, to Austin Fiebelkorn and Matthew Avery.
The Star Ag Placement award to Sidney Grames.
The Ag Credit 110% Award to Cate Korsnack and Kassie Fintel.
The Outstanding Senior Award to Gus Eschedor.
The Star Accounting Honor to Jackie Steel.
The chapter also announced its Spirit of FFA awards which were presented by the class:
Freshmen – Amanda Mantel and Brian Tussing.
Sophomores – Jamie Ankney and Chloe Lamb.
Junior – Cassidy Vestal and Mikayla Henninger.
Senior – Austin Adams, Courtney Kuhlwein, Natalie Messenger, Cassidy Hendricks, Cathy Bowers, Taylor
Shepard and Conner Geyman.
Proficiency Awards are presented to the members based on their Supervised Agricultural Experience
projects, along with supporting documentation and applications about the projects.
This year’s proficiency awards were presented to Gus Eschedor for Agricultural Mechanics Repair and
Maintenance Placement, Cailyn Overhulse for Agricultural Processing Placement,
Sidney Grames and Gracyn Amos for Ag Sales Placement, Jeremiah Taylor and Sierra Fry-Casera for Ag
Services Placement, Konnaly Kale and Cate Korsnack for Beef Production Entrepreneurship, Morgan Schick
for Diversified Agricultural Production Entrepreneurship, Erica Dauterman and Chloe Lamb for Diversified
Livestock Production Entrepreneurship,
Kassie Fintel for Equine Science Placement, Austin Fiebelkorn for Grain Production Entrepreneurship,
Jackie Steel and Austin Adams for Home/Community Development Entrepreneurship, Zach Crawford and Cathy
Bowers for Landscape Management Entrepreneurship, Conner Geyman for Outdoor Recreation Placement, Nick
Shire and Lynette Bechstein for Poultry Production Entrepreneurship, Cassidy Hendricks for Sheep
Production Entrepreneurship, Kameron Borner for Small Animal Production and Care Entrepreneurship,
Cassidy Vestal and Courtney Kuhlwein for Vegetable Production Entrepreneurship.
The meeting adjourned after the installation of the 2019-20 officer team: President Konnaly Kale, Vice
President Jamie Ankney, Secretary Faith Evans, Treasurer Erica Dauterman, Reporter Hayden Belleville,
Sentinel Cassidy Vestal, and Student Adviser Carysa Johnson.
