Pemberville’s Community Reads: ‘Lost Connections’

0

PEMBERVILLE — Depression and anxiety are now at epidemic levels. Why?
Across the world, scientists have uncovered evidence for nine different causes of depression. Some are in
biology, but most are in the way people are living today.
Everyone is invited to a Community Reads discussion at the library, 375 E. Front St., on Monday from
6:30-8 p.m. to discuss “Lost Connections” by Johann Hari.
This New York Times best-selling book, lauded by everyone from Oprah Winfrey to Elton John, offers a
radical new way of thinking about this crisis. It shows that once the real causes are understood,
society can turn to pioneering new solutions– ones that offer real hope.
Each week, the library group will discuss chapters in the book and have guest speakers to inform and
educate on resources available in the local area. Get a free book at the Pemberville, Stony Ridge or
Luckey locations. All books were donated by the Pemberville and Stony Ridge Friends of the Library and
the Luckey Area Library Movement.
