Harry Potter Breakout at Way
PERRYSBURG — Breakout EDU takes the appeal of the “escape room,” only instead of breaking out of a locked
room, teams must figure out how to get inside a tightly locked box. This program, held Friday from
4:15-5:30 p.m. at Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave., will have a Harry Potter theme.

Celebrate National Polar Bear Day
PERRYSBURG — The Toledo Zoo and Harper Collins author and illustrator Lindsay Moore will celebrate
National Polar Bear Day on Saturday at Gathering Volumes, 196 E. South Boundary St.
International Polar Bear Day, an annual event celebrated every Feb. 27 to raise awareness about the
conservation status of the polar bear, was founded by Polar Bears International in 2011. Throughout the
day there will be activities to learn about, celebrate and appreciate polar bears.
The activities are all free and include listening to Little Bear Dreams and creating polar bear art,
participating in the Toledo Zoo Polar Bear educational program, meeting Moore and hearing about the
process of authoring and illustrating “Sea Bear: A Journey for Survival,” decorating a polar bear
cupcake, or competing in an ice tower competition.
Homeschoolers become perler bead artists
PERRYSBURG — Use perler beads to form plastic, one-of-a-kind designs on Monday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Way
Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave. Library-supplied perler beads are a fun way to get creative with a
pixel art flair.
This program is for children ages 8-12.

Into to volleyball clinic offered to youth
Registration is open for an introduction to volleyball clinic at the Bowling Green Community Center. This
program is open to children ages 3-5 and will cover the beginning steps to volleyball. This is a
developmentally appropriate introductory program that prepares participants for organized volleyball in
a fun, non-threatening environment.
Participants will work on hand-eye coordination, running and other motor skills.
The program will run on Wednesdays 5:15-6 p.m. from March 6-April 10. Costs are $46/resident and
$55/non-resident.

Lego League meets at Way Library
PERRYSBURG — On Tuesday from 4:15-5:16 p.m., Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave., is the place for
Lego builders.
The program is for kids age 4 and older. The library provides the Legos, kids provide the imagination for
an hour of free building.

See planetarium show
“Sky Stones” is playing at the Bowling Green State University Planetarium through Saturday.
“Water World” starts Sunday and runs through March 2.
The planetarium is a 114-seat public science theater serving BGSU students, area schools and the public
of Northwest Ohio. Set under a 40-foot dome, the state-of-the-art SciDome video system fills the dome
with video that can immerse visitor in the cosmos and can show the sky as it would be seen from any
place on the Earth at any time.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. Sundays, 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, and 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Children’s vision screening offered
PERRYSBURG — Trained members of the Perrysburg Lions Club will be on hand at Way Public Library, 101 E.
Indiana Ave., Wednesday to screen for early detection of the most prevalent vision disorders in children
using the new PlusoptiX vision screener. Free to the public and no registration is required.
The program runs from 1-5 p.m. and is for those age 12 and under.

Play Hero Kids RPG in Luckey
LUCKEY — Hero Kids is a ENnie award-winning fantasy game for kids age 5 to 12.
This is a game for boys or girls who portray heroes defeating monsters. Face exciting challenges and
solve problems by rolling the dice and navigating a map.
The program, Feb. 28 from 6-8 p.m., is presented by Fyndor’s Keepers, a group of RPG enthusiasts who want
to teach kids about role playing games. This game is fun and creative while learning problem solving
skills, math, storytelling and social interaction skills.
