‘A Brit of magic’ comes to Pemberville

PEMBERVILLE — Keith Fields and Lady Sarah will perform their comedy show March 2 at 7:30 p.m at the opera
house for a Live! In The House Concert Series.
The couple will bring their distinctly British sense of humour to every show. This show features amazing
magic, hilarious comedy, and a delectable insight into the life of two very un-ordinary people. They
will have you rolling in the aisles with their quick wit and then gasping with amazement at their
incredible illusions.
This is so much more than a magic show and so much more than a comedy show – it is a high energy roller
coaster ride of fun and excitement from beginning to end. Keith Fields is a world champion magician and
headline comedian, Lady Sarah is a real English lady with a penchant for shoes, she does her best to
keep everything in some semblance of control. And if everything turns to custard they are British, so
they will make a cup of tea and we can all have some crumpets.
Tickets are $12 and are available for $12 at Beeker’s General Store, at the door or by contacting Carol
Bailey at 419-287-4848, [email protected] or www.pembervilleoperahouse.org
Lady Sarah fills the stage with her sparking costumes, colorful shoes and the most amazing eyeglasses,
but mostly with her effervescent personality. Her boundless energy and quintessential Britishness are
divine.
Keith Fields seamlessly slips between the role of master magician and hilarious husband. His sleight of
hand skills are a joy to behold and his sleight of tongue, a joy to hear.
Put them together and you will discover that the real jewel in this show is their relationship. It is a
sublime pleasure to watch two people doing something that they absolutely love – making them themselves
laugh, and sharing the laughter with an audience.
Fields started his performing life as a street entertainer. This was great in the summer but when the
cold winter weather came he looked for somewhere warmer to perform. His comedy style opened doors into
the comedy clubs where he got as many laughs as the comedians. This led to headline tours in Europe and
Asia, appearances at arts festivals, on TV, performances for the armed forces overseas. He was even
asked to perform for the British royal family.
Nowadays he works mainly in theaters but his style can still be traced back to his roots. He is a master
of the art of audience participation, he manages to walk the fine line of being hilariously funny but
never embarrassing his volunteers — this is one of the hallmarks of Keith’s work, people who would never
normally get on stage simply love becoming the stars of the show.
Lady Sarah is the daughter of a playwright who has been performing since she was 5 years old.
She is a real English lady and sounds like she has come straight from an episode of “Downton Abbey.” If
she had time she would make you a nice cup of tea and some crumpets. She frequently has to keep Keith on
track when he starts wandering off script, as he often does.
