for Feb. 8-9.
The 11th Annual Winterfest BG Chillabration is full of winter themed activities for everyone.
The merchants’ Chocolate Crawl Fundraiser for the United Way will be held on Feb. 8.
Many Feb. 9 activities will be held in the Frozen Swamp Tent will be a Winter Market by day and live
music, beer and wine by night in the Ice Garden on the corner of South Main and Clough streets.
Winter Athletes in Ice is the theme for Saturday’s live ice carving demonstrations with sculptures of
Olympic Gold Medalist skater Hamilton, Olympic Gold Medalist curler Tyler George, a Bowling Green State
University Falcon hockey player and a snow queen ballerina with a live model from Julie’s Dance Studio.

This two-day fun-filled community event also features horse-drawn carriage rides, 1BookBG trivia
& activities, chili and soup cook-off, Frostbite Fun Run, cookie creations, youth dodge ball,
window youth art exhibition, Four Corners Gallery Art Exhibit by Bowling Green High School students and
Wood County District Public Library’s I Love BG Scavenger Hunt and Break It Make It with Home Depot.
The Frozen Swamp Tent lineup includes Ginger and the Snaps, James Atkins Trio, Ind’grass, Oliver Hazard
and Amp Wagon.
The Slater Family Ice Arena will be hosting an On-Ice Celebration and a Frozen 5K Skate, both with
Hamilton here for the SK8 to Elimin8 Cancer Fundraiser.
The Black Swamp Curling Center will be hosting Olympic Learn to Curls with George.
