The Court Street corridor near the Wood County Courthouse was in the spotlight Saturday. The Court Street
Connects Festival featured a number of activities with the intention of highlighting the neighborhood
and the connections between Bowling Green State University and the city.
“Anything to promote more interaction” between the city and the university is good, said attendee David
Anzicek.

The event took place along Court Street between North Prospect Street and Thurstin Avenue, with the
street closed off in the area. The festival emerged as an early action project from the city’s ongoing
Community Action Plan work. The CAP, under development by Chicago-based consulting firm Camiros, is to
focus on actions and projects that could rejuvenate the city’s East Side, while also being applicable to
the rest of the city.
