Community Action Plan meeting set

The third community meeting for the Bowling Green Community Action Plan will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8
p.m. at the Wood County Courthouse atrium.
The meeting, in an open house format, will allow attendees to come anytime during that timeframe to view
and comment on alternative planning concepts for the city’s East Side.
They will also be able to hear updates about progress for the Court Street Better Block Party early
action project – for which volunteers are being sought – and a Code Enforcement Chart.
Two previous public meetings for the CAP were held in August and October by Camiros, the Chicago-based
consulting firm hired by the city to work on the plan.
The CAP was prompted by concerns in recent years about rejuvenating Bowling Green’s neighborhoods,
partially sparked by the 2014 Lane Use Plan update.
The goal is to have a finished plan by August of this year. The plan overall is to focus on the city’s
East Side, but still have actions and projects that would be applicable to the rest of the city.
