Ellen "Eileen" Michaelis, 87, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Wood County Hospital.
She was born on January 11, 1928 to Frank and Elizabeth (Ganshaw) Buckholtz in Toledo, OH.
Eileen graduated from Haskins High School in 1946. She also attended LPN school.
For over 25 years she was a cook for the Bowling Green Schools retiring in 1989.
Eileen was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bowling Green, Silvers, and the Fostoria Eagles. She
also loved to hunt, fish, do archery, gardening and crocheting.
On June 23, 1946 she married Raymond Michaelis. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2003.
Survivors include her children, Albert (Carla) Michaelis of Springfield, MA, Alan (Lisa) Michaelis of
Millbury, MA, Judith (Tom) Chamberlain of Cygnet, OH, and Cynthia (Roger) Cook of Bowling Green, five
grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by he parents, husband, and her son, Keith.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 13, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 18620 Washington
St. Tontogany, OH.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 315 S. College
Ave., Bowling Green, OH with Reverend Rob Spicer officiating.
Interment will be private.
