BGHS hockey ties Northview

Northview scored in the third period Friday night to earn a 1-1 tie with ninth-ranked Bowling Green in a
Northwest Hockey Conference Red Division game at Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter.
Grant DeWitt had BG’s goal in the first period and the Bobcats held the lead until the final period.
Tanner Fausnaugh had 25 saves for BG, which held a 31-26 edge in shots.
Both teams are 1-2-1 in the NHC. BG is 11-5-1 overall.
Northview received votes in this week’s state poll after being seventh a week ago.
The Bobcats play two ranked teams this weekend, facing No. 5 St. John’s tonight at 9 at Tam-O-Shanter and
hosting No. 2 Cleveland St. Ignatius Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

In Perrysburg, the Yellow Jackets rallied from a 32-28 deficit at the half to improve to 5-3 overall with
a nonleague win.
Allex Brown led Perrysburg with 20 points while Taylin Hunter scored 12 and Erika Joldrichsen and Lindy
DeLong added 10 each.
BOYS
Rossford 56, Woodmore 43
In Elmore, Rossford used a 22-9 third quarter to overcome a 23-19 halftime deficit to defeat Woodmore in
a Northern Buckeye Conference game.
Grant Weis led all scorers with 18 points for the Wildcats while Ryan Niese led the Bulldogs with 11.
Rossford is 6-2 overall, 3-0 in the NBC. Woodmore is 5-2, 1-1.
Elmwood 65, Fostoria 40
In Jerry City, Elmwood out-scored Fostoria in each quarter en route to its first NBC win of the season.

Jarrett Childress led all scorers with 17 points. Tayte Lentz and Trevor Solether added 13 and 12 points,
respectively.
Elmwood is 4-2 overall, 1-2 in the NBC. Fostoria is 1-5, 0-3.
