how tow firms will be utilized by police. The maximum charge for police tows will be $95, no matter the
time of day. The present maximum is $60 from 8 a.m. through 10:59 p.m. and $65 from 11 p.m. to 7:59
a.m.If a wrecker shows up on police request and does not tow the cost will be $45. The present ordinance
allows a $15 charge if a wrecker shows up but does not hook or tow and a $25 charge if a wrecker shows
up, hooks, but does not tow.The outside storage maximum rises from $8 to $15 per day and the inside
storage maximum rises from $12 to $25 per day.Language is also being added to restrict eligibility to
towing firms located within five miles of the city and expanding the conditions warranting suspension or
removal from the tow list maintained by the police.A second reading is likely at the Feb. 4 meeting and
