Robert Lee Karr, age 72, passed away on November 5, 2011, with his wife, Minnie, and other family by his
side.
He was born on January 21, 1939, in Findlay Township and adopted at age six with his sister, Charlotte
"Sue" by Wanda and Alvin P. Karr. Four other siblings were adopted by other families.
Robert attended Perrysburg High School and enlisted in the United States Army in the early 60’s. Robert
was married to Patricia Cameron and the couple has three children – Thomas, Tambra and Michelle. He
married Minnie Soldwish on March 20, 1971, and Robert became step-father to her four children –
Patricia, Norman, Michael and Jeffrey.
He worked several years in a factory and later found a profession as a truck driver. He was a member of
the Teamsters Union and worked for several trucking companies for the next 15 years.
Robert found reward in a second career as a School Bus Driver for the Perrysburg School District for 16
years. He retired in 2003.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Tony "Smoke" Stewart, INDY car racing, and football both
pro and college.
Robert is survived by his wife of 40 years, Minnie; children Thomas (Sandi) and Michelle (Earl) Robinson
both of Fort Myers, FL; Tambra (Keith) Munzert of Cape Coral, FL; step-children Patricia Roberts of
Evanston, WY; Debbie Soldwish, Perrysburg, OH, Norman (Katie) Soldwish of Perrysburg, OH, and Jeffrey
(Cheryl) Soldwish of Toledo, OH; siblings Sue (Chuck) Austin of Zephyrhills, FL; David (Sandy) Leibherr
of Moncks Corner, SC; Donald (Norma) Bauer of Oakwood, OH; Ronald Bauer of TN, and Raymond (Sandra)
Weyer of Carthage, NY. Robert has 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Alice Jane Pickett and Milton Weyer, granddaughters,
Kirsten Karr and Celeste Soldwish and step-son, Michael Soldwish, who preceded him in death on October
29, 2011.
Private family viewing was held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, followed by cremation.
Arrangements were made through Maison-Dardenne Walker Funeral Home in Maumee, OH.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Diabetes Assoc. or St. Rose Church in
Perrysburg, OH.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
