Northwood P.D. plans checkpoint
NORTHWOOD – The Northwood Police Department, in conjunction with the Lucas Count DUI Task Force, will
operate a sobriety checkpoint on Woodville Road tonight.
The Oregon Police Department will assist the operation.
Karaoke night Saturday at VFW
VFW Post 1148 will host a karaoke night Saturday from 8 to midnight at 719 S. Main St.
Bradner Legion to host dinner
BRADNER – The Bradner American Legion will host a baked steak dinner this Sunday from 11 a.m. until 1
p.m. The legion hall is at 209 W. Crocker St.
Dinners are $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. Carry-outs are available. Call (419) 288-3634.

Offices closed for holiday
The Bowling Green Municipal Court, as well as all Bowling Green City offices, will be closed Monday is
observance of Labor Day.
Rossford plans celebration on Monday
ROSSFORD – The Hometown Labor Day celebration will be Monday.
"Fun at the Fountain" will start at 6 p.m., on the front lawn of the city municipal building,
133 Osborn St. Children will be allows, with an adult, until 9 p.m.; after that, the event is adults
only with ID required.
The band See Alice will perform until 11:30 p.m. Admission is $1. A beer garden, 50/50 raffle and local
food vendors will be open until 11:30 as well.
Rossford Business Association is sponsoring the event. Proceeds from the admission fees go to the annual
RBA scholarships for local high school students.
Fireworks are planned at the marina at dusk. Free trolley rides will run between the city building and
the marina from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.
