Madelyn L. Smith, 92, of Bowling Green, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Bridge Hospice Care
Center, Bowling Green.
She was born October 19, 1918 in Tiffin, Ohio to Guy M. & Helen (Floel) Ball. She married Earl R.
Smith on October 17, 1941 and he preceded her in death on May 30, 1988.
Madelyn is survived by her son, Richard "Rick" Smith, daughter, Elizabeth "Boots"
Smith, both of Bowling Green, sisters, H. Pauline Blair & Mary Myers Fuelber, of Bowling Green.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marian Bowles.
Madelyn and her husband owned and operated several stores in Bowling Green, which would include Earls and
Smith Hallmark. She worked in both stores and was a huge part in running the daily business operations.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star-Greenwood Chapter.
She was an avid card player in both bridge and euchre, and she loved crocheting and knitting. She has
been a resident of Wood Haven Health Care for the past two years.
A Public Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev.
John Randall will officiate. There will be no visitation.
DUNN FUNERAL HOME, 408 W. Wooster St. ,located in the Historical District of Bowling Green, has been
entrusted to handle the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Bridge Hospice.
