A switching problem at the Frontier Communications office in Bowling Green caused 911 calls statewide to
be misrouted for about 90 minutes Friday evening.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reported the problem at 7:30 p.m.
According to a dispatcher this morning, the problem caused calls for one department to be sent to
another. She estimated several Wood County calls were sent to other areas, and the Wood County office
handled several calls intended for other counties.
Dispatchers directed callers to the correct number.
The problem was repaired shortly before 9 p.m. Friday.
