Perrysburg’s softball team notched an 11-1 home victory over Maumee in six innings on Monday.
The game was called due the mercy rule. The Yellow Jackets are 10-2 overall and 3-1 in the Northern Lakes
League. Maumee is 0-4 in the NLL.
Leading hitters for Perrysburg were: Kimmy Granata, 3-for-3, two home runs, three runs batted in; Lindsay
Rich, 4-for-4, double, two RBI; and Kayla Rice, 2-for-4, double, three RBI.
Rich went all six innings to pick up the win, allowing two hits with 11 strikeouts and four walks.
SOFTBALL
North Baltimore 7, New Riegel 4
In North Baltimore, the Tigers scored five runs in the sixth to pull away for the Midland Athletic League
victory. NB is 9-2 overall and 3-0 in the MAL. New Riegel is 8-3, 1-2.
Leading hitters for NB were: Emily Stewart, 2-for-2, double, RBI; Mackenzie Carpenter, 2-for-2, double;
Megan Wright, 2-for-4, RBI; and Jessica Frost, solo home run.
Frost pitched all seven innings to pick up the win, improving to 5-0 on the season.

In Gibsonburg, Lake improved to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in the Suburban Lakes League with the win.

In North Baltimore, New Riegel scored once in the top of the seventh en route to the MAL win.
