Budge among five recruits signed by Falcon men’s CC
Kevin Budge of Bowling Green High School is one of five recruits signed by the Bowling Green State
University men’s cross country team.
The others are Tyler Addis (Monroe, Mich.), Thomas Hipwell (Parma), Nolan McCue (Aurora, Ill.), and
Zachary Shilt (Covington).
Budge is a four-year letter winner in cross country for the Bobcats and was a first-team All-Northern
Lakes League selection as a senior.
"Kevin has excellent potential to excel at the college level," BG coach Cami Paulson said on
www.bgsufalcons.com. "Kevin has had a very successful career at Bowling Green High School and I am
thrilled that he has decided to continue his career here at BGSU."
Addis was named All-Region in 2010 and was named the team’s most improved runner in 2009.
Hipwell was named the Northeast Ohio Conference Most Valuable Player in 2010 and was a regional qualifier
three times.
McCue’s cross country team qualified for the Illinois state finals in each of his four seasons.
Shilt was a four-year letter winner in cross country and track. He was named to the All-Cross County
Conference cross country team in 2010.
BG-Dayton baseball rescheduled for April 13
The Bowling Green Falcon baseball game at home against Dayton has been rescheduled for April 13 in a 3
p.m. start at Steller Field.
The game originally was rained out March 22.
Falcon track adds two
The BGSU women’s track and field team has signed Maria Dahlinghaus and Caitlin Lashbrook for the 2011-12
season.
Dahlinghaus, from Minster, was a member of the three-time state cross country championship team at
Minster.
Lashbrook, from Rochester, N.Y. (Greece Athena High School), was named her team’s most player valuable
player in cross country in 2010.
District 7 All-Star game set
The District 7 Basketball Coaches Association All-Star games will be held on Thursday.
The Division I and II boys and girls game are at Owens Community College with the girls’ game beginning
at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow.
Division III and IV All-Star boys and girls will be held at Swanton High School with the girls’ game
beginning at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow.
Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students.
