A national company is teaming with Mid-Wood Inc. to help "weed out hunger."
On Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Halex GT will bring its truck to the Mid-Wood center at 12965
Defiance Pike (Ohio 18) in Cygnet.
The corn herbicide company will bring its interactive robot along with the truck to speak with visitors,
young and old.
In its inaugural year of operation, Weeding out Hunger with Halex GT donated more than $100,000 and five
tons of food to nearly 80 food banks across 24 states.
A portion of Halex GT sales will be donated to food banks in areas where the product is sold.
On Friday people are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to the Halex GT truck, which will
be parked at Mid-Wood’s Cygnet site.
The food will be delivered to local food banks.
