Chris Warren Rife, 55, of Bowling Green, Ohio, died Saturday morning, January 29, 2011 at his
home.
He was born on December 31, 1955 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Roy W. and Rosie (Charlton) Rife. He was
married for 34 years to his High School sweetheart Toni (Strausbaugh) on October 23, 1976 and she
survives of Bowling Green.
Also surviving are three beloved children: daughters, Emily and fiancé Jason Bomeli of Bowling Green,
Kelly (Mike) Ernest of Lima, son, Cody of Bowling Green, his parents of Bowling Green, and a sister, Amy
Vermilya of Bowling Green.
He was a member of the local Elk’s Lodge and National Tractors Pulling Association. He belonged to the BG
Blueliner’s Association and the BGHS Booster Club. Through his work at Cooper Standard Hose Plant, he
was a member of the Local 1152 Union. He was also a volunteer of the Fire Brigade at work.
Chris enjoyed watching his son play hockey, baseball and football making many friends and memories along
the way. He was often seen under the hood of a car and enjoyed racing cars in his earlier years. Camping
and snowmobiling were also hobbies of his. He often held a "Board meeting" in his garage with
close friends. He was a closet cook and was the grill master for many occasions.
Chris was indeed a softie and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. at DUNN FUNERAL HOME
408 W. Wooster St. located in the Historical District Bowling Green, Ohio. Rev. Doug McKinney will
officiate. Burial will be in Wood County Memory Gardens.
Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the DUNN
FUNERAL HOME Bowling Green.
