PERRYSBURG – The Parish Hall at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, Perrysburg, sizzled Nov. 7, thanks to the
participation of all who came out to support the church’s youth group’s third annual Chili Cook-off.
Seven recipes faced off this year, ranging from sweet to volcano, white to red, chicken to beef. Tasters
cast their votes to the backdrop of country music, and the youth were decked out in style to match.
Prize winners were Isabella Karlsson, Robert Bergstrom and Suzanne Neckers, but the night’s big winner
was the Perrysburg Christians United food pantry, which received food purchased from the cook-off
proceeds.
The youth raised nearly $500 for the food pantry, which has seen an increase in clients due to economic
conditions.PERRYSBURG – The Parish Hall at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, Perrysburg, sizzled Nov. 7,
