Robert E. "Bob" Kiefer, 82, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away at Foundation Park Care Center on
Thursday, November 19, 2009. Born in Perrysburg, Ohio on August 3, 1927, he was the son of Albert M. and
Lavina A. (Darr) Kiefer.
A graduate of Haskins High School, Bob worked at American Propeller and retired in 1985 from
Libbey-Owens-Ford after 39 years. He was a member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church and a U.S. Navy
veteran.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances E. "Betty" (Hanudel); son, Douglas B.; sister,
Arlene (Jim) Taylor; nieces, Sue (Lynn) Miller, Ann (Mark) Lane; nephew, Greg (Sara) Taylor; and several
nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may visit at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, Ohio, from
5-8 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 and Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 2 – 8 p.m. Funeral services
will begin 9 a.m. Monday with prayers at the funeral home and proceed to St. Patrick of Heatherdowns
Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery. The family
