Junior Fair Board met
On Thursday the Junior Fair Board held its second meeting.
New ideas for the 2010 Wood County Fair were brainstormed and goals were set.
Reminders: Dec. 5, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. is the Catch-a-pig sale at the Fairgrounds; Jan. 9, 8 to 11 a.m.
is Steer ID Day, also at the fairgrounds. The meeting will be held Jan. 20 at 8 p.m.
Grain marketing class planned
The Ohio State University Extension Erie Basin EERA will be hosting a grain marketing strategies class.
This college-level course is focused on integrating alternatives and strategies, costs, cash flows,
profits, revenue insurances, and farm policy into a grain marketing plan.
This course is designed to improve skills and knowledge of area farmers and ag professionals.
Organizers note, "Whether you are a novice or want to review complex concepts, this course is for
you."
The class will be held on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Jan. 8 to March 19, and will be held at
the Wood County Extension Office in Bowling Green.
