Thanksgiving Worship

Most people think of Thanksgiving as a time for food and football.
Many churches also recognize the importance of faith in giving thanks.
As such there are various worship services being held next week in conjunction with Thanksgiving
including some community worship services.
The Bowling Green Ministerial Association will sponsor a Bowling Green Christian Community Thanksgiving
Service on Wednesday at Plain Congregational Church, 16011 West Poe Road.
The service begins at 7 p.m. Rev. Brent Pomeroy, pastor of First Christian Church will be preaching. A
joint choir will sing.
Other worship services scheduled are listed below.
BOWLING GREEN
Hope Lutheran Church will hold a Thanksgiving worship service Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Rev. Melanie Haack’s
sermon will be "Remember … To Give Thanks."
St. Thomas More University Parish will hold its Thanksgiving potluck
on Sunday at 6 p.m.
BRADNER
Members of St. James Lutheran Church will join with Hope Lutheran in Bowling Green for its Thanksgiving
worship listed above.
HASKINS
Haskins Community Church will host a community Thanksgiving Eve service including members of St. Paul’s
Evangelical Lutheran Church at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. A soup supper precedes the service at 6:30 p.m.
NORTH BALTIMORE
St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold its Thanksgiving Eve service on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.
Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon will be "Praise to the Lord."
PEMBERVILLE
Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church will have a worship at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
PERRYSBURG
Blessed John XXIII Parish will hold a Thanksgiving Mass at 9 a.m.
St. Rose Catholic Church will hold its Thanksgiving Masses on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Thanksgiving Day at
9 a.m. Those attending are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Perrysburg food pantry.

PORTAGE
Christ United Methodist Church will hold its Thanksgiving Eve service Wednesday at 7 p.m.
WESTON
Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold a Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m.
