BG’s Luther, Kearney honored by MAC
CLEVELAND – Bowling Green volleyball player Shari Luther was named to the Mid-American Conference
first-team, the MAC office announced Thursday.
Allison Kearney of BG was named to the all-freshmen team.
Luther, a senior, led the MAC in attack percentage at .364 and led the Falcons in kills (322), blocks
(97) and points (388).
Kearney, a setter, was fourth in the MAC in assists with 10.27 per set and is seventh in the conference
with 0.29 aces per set.
The Falcons, seeded 11th for the MAC Tournament, faces No. 3 Miami in the quarterfinals today at 1:30
p.m.
Soccer forum planned for Tuesday in BG
An open forum for soccer enthusiasts, programmers and coaches in Bowling Green is Tuesday at 7 p.m. in
the Simpson Meeting Room, located on 1291 Conneaut Ave.
The focus of the forum, hosted by the BG Parks and Recreation Department, will be on additional field
space in the city.
BG rifle club competes
FREMONT – The Bowling Green Rifle Club fell to 0-2 on the season with a 1,436-1,372 loss at Fremont on
Tuesday.
Results for BG were: Bob Schwiebert, 280; Don Link, 278; Norbert Norden, 275; Jan Spohn, 274; and Russ
France, 265. Jerry Milnor (247) and Richard Dittman (242) also shot for BG.
Bagrowski notches first 800 series
Chris Bagrowski of Perrysburg, recorded his first career 800 series Wednesday in the American League at
Al-Mar Lanes.
He tossed a 290 game in the middle of a pair of 269s for an 828 set. His previous high was 754.
Holiday curling planned in BG
The Bowling Green Club’s annual Christmas Bonspiel is Dec. 5 at the Ice Arena.
Anyone wishing to participate should contact Scott at [email protected].
Also, there are two more Tuesday evening 0pen curls this year – Dec. 1 and Dec. 8 – beginning at 7 p.m.
Club members will be on hand to give basic instruction in the sport; then, you will play a short game.

The cost is $10 per person.
Dress for forty degrees and bring clean athletic shoes to wear on the ice.
All equipment is furnished.
