Custar Legion Unit No. 305
CUSTAR – The auxiliary hosted 46 veterans and spouses for the Nov. 10 potluck dinner.
President Marie Wen-sink read a prayer about our honored veterans.
The program included Girls State representative Emalee Kernisan and Boys State representative Geoff
Schultz telling about their experiences for the week. Christian Gambill, who is working toward his Eagle
Scout Badge, talked about his project of refinishing the howitzer located in front of the legion hall.
He plans to have it completed by the holidays.
Jenny Feehan, featured speaker, talked about -Honor Flight and how she was able to assist her great-uncle
Harold Johann on the flight to Washington, D.C. last year. Two videos were shown that were taken that
day. She also gave out fliers about Honor Flight.
28 people donated blood during the legion’s Nov. 7 Bloodmobile.
The auxiliary cookie exchange will be held Dec. 8. Members should bring two dozen cookies.
Dec. 18 is the dinner hosted by Legion Post 305.
