The Bowling Green women’s basketball team from last season, which won the Mid-American Conference regular
season title and finished 29-5 overall, was recognized before Friday’s game with Chicago State.
Rings were given to each player and a banner forparticipation in theWNITwas unveiled.
“The ring ceremony and the banner ceremony is a fantastic way to put last season to bed,” said BG head
coach Curt Miller.
Lindsey Goldsberry, the lone senior on last year’s team, was present for the ceremony.
“Goldsberry is a legend,” said BG senior Tamika Nurse. “She is the winningest player in MAC history.”
Nurse and Maggie Hennegan, who sat out last season due to NCAA transfer rules, also received rings.
“I haven’t won anything since high school so a ring is a ring, I’ll take that,” Nurse said. “Me and
Maggie … we went to practice, we lifted with the team and we ran with the team. We did everything we
could to help make them better in practice.
“Me and Maggie earned our rings, but we’re at a point we want to earn them on the floor now.”— CARLE
