Linda Cotrell and Lawrence Smith

Linda Cotrell and Lawrence Smith were installed Oct. 27 as the presiding officers for 2010 for Greenwood
Order of Eastern Star Chapter.
Installing the corps of officers was Betty Kahler, a past matron from Latham Chapter, Kenton. She was
assisted by Wanda Voland, Woodbine Chapter, Pemberville; Marsha Kujawa, Fort Industry Chapter, Toledo;
and Robert Roesler, Triune Chapter, Waterville, who served as installing chaplain, marshal, and
organist, respectively.
The theme for the year will be "Along the Ohio Trail."
Information will be given at each meeting about the growth of Ohio from the Ice Age to the present time.

Smith and his mother, Gladys, who served as the presiding officers this year, were given appreciation
gifts from the chapter with Judy Lashaway doing the presentation.
The Star Points will be honored individually at future meetings and information on retiring secretary
Dorothy Woods will be given.
The first half of the meeting was led by Karen Schwab who greeted the distinguished guests with
"going green" humor, the theme for 2009.
The next meeting of the chapter was held Nov. 3, with members asked to bring unwrapped Christmas gifts
for the residents of the OES Home at Mount Vernon.
Moonlighters Club met Nov. 10 at the home of Gladys Smith.
Greenwood chapter will participate with fellow Masons on Nov. 21 in the Bowling Green Holiday Parade. Any
member interested in being a part of this festivity should contact the worthy matron at (419) 352-4496
for additional details.
