Veterans Day closings listed
All federal, state, county and city offices will be closed Wednesday for Veterans Day.
Bowling Green’s Wednesday trash route will be collected Thursday and the Thursday route will be collected
Friday.
Also closed will be Wood County District Public Libraries in Bowling Green and Walbridge.
The Sentinel-Tribune will be published Wednesday.
Ambulance district mtg. postponed
The Northwest Wood Ambulance District regular meeting is being postponed from today to Thursday, at 7:30
p.m. at the Washington Township Trustee Office in Tontogany.
Weston Legion sets open house
WESTON – American Legion Post 409 will host an open house Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. to show off its new
post home to the community.
The post is located at 13180 S. Main St. in the former Sky Financial building.
Chili cook-off & pet adoption
PERRYSBURG – Signature Harley-Davidson will be hosting a Chili Cook-Off to benefit Planned Pethood
Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. For any donation, guests will be able to sample a variety of homemade chili.

To enter the contest, contact Karen at (419) 873-2453. Prizes will be given to the top three places.
Also, Planned Pethood will have animals available for adoption during the event. Thousands of dogs and
cats are destroyed in local shelters every year as a result of pet overpopulation. Planned Pethood works
with 15 Northwest Ohio area veterinarians to provide affordable spay/neuter services. PPI offers free
Spay/Neuters for low-income pet owners and offers subsidies for local hardship cases when funds are
available. The organization works reactively through its creative adoption program by bringing spayed
and neutered animals of all ages to people who will provide suitable homes and loving care.
