Black Swamp Quilt Guild
to meet Thursday
The Black Swamp Quilt Guild will hold its November meeting on Thursday at the Simpson Building, 1291
Conneaut Ave., Bowling Green.
Speaker Jennifer Morlock will present "4-H Quilters Who Make a Difference." There will also be
"show and tell" for regular and donation quilts. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the meeting starts
at 7.
The guild meets the second Thursday of each month. The December meeting, a brunch, will be held at the
Bowling Green Country Club.
Holiday craft bazaar Saturday
NORTH BALTIMORE – North Baltimore American Legion Unit 539 will hold their fall Holiday Craft Bazaar this
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the legion hall. There will be crafts, a flea market, 50-50 raffle and
food.
To rent an eight-foot table space, the cost is $20 per table. Call Mary Ann Clark at (419) 672-8330.
Proceeds benefit the Military Christmas Boxes.
Support for suicide survivors
"Out of Darkness," an open support group for families and friends who have lost a loved one
through suicide, will meet Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Family Services of Wood County, 1616 E.
Wooster, Bowling Green.
All are welcome; no registration is necessary. The meeting will be led by Kathy Stenfors and Barbara
Applebaum.
Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month. For more information contact Applebaum at (419)

Wines 101 workshop Friday
TOLEDO – Wines of the World 101, a wine tasting workshop, will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the
Collingwood Arts Center at 2413 Collingwood Blvd.
During the 45-minute workshop wine instructor and aficionado James Heltebrake will cover topics such as:
How wine is made, ordering wines in a restaurant, high-acid verses low-acid wines, basic rules of
pairing food and wine, New World versus Old World wine styles, and getting the best out of any bottle of
wine. Also offered will be practical wine tips regarding planning for a party, the myth of aging wine
and other myths, storing wine, and "Your taste buds are better than you think."
The fee is $15. This is a pre-registration event only. Registration ends Wednesday at 5 p.m. Tickets may
