John Eugene Harman, 69, of Helena, Ohio, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Fremont Memorial Hospital,
Fremont, Ohio.
He was born March 27, 1940, in Sandusky County, Ohio, to John and Marcine (Dibert) Harman, both deceased.
He married Vondale M. Hunt on Sept. 30, 1958 in Lebanon, W.Va. She passed away on Sept. 13, 2007.
Survivors include two sons, Duncan (Sheryl) Harman, Helena, Ohio, and Eugene (Patty) Harman, Risingsun,
Ohio; two daughters, Carrie Harman, Risingsun, Ohio, and Teresa (Mark Cochran) Harman, Fostoria, Ohio;
five brothers, Jim Harman, Risingsun, Ohio, Jack Harman, Wayne, Ohio; Jerry Harman, Fostoria, Ohio; Joe
and Jeff Harman, both of Bradner, Ohio; a twin sister, Joan King, Fostoria, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and
17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny and Randy Harman; two
sisters, Judy Carver and infant Iva Rose Harman; and a great-grandchild.
John retired from Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria as a heat treat operator.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, talking on Citizen’s Band Radio, trading and especially loved riding his
Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne,
Ohio. Pastor Donald Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in Bradner Cemetery, Bradner, Ohio.
Visitation is Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne, Ohio.
